Medical Discovery Walk 2024

Prisoners, Paediatrics and Plants: Medicine from Millbank to Victoria!

Our professional guide will take us on a walk to some of London’s most important medical buildings.

We will commence at Tate Britain, which was originally Millbank Penitentiary. Our walk will take in the old Royal Army Medical Corps – the original Westminster Children’s Hospital which closed in 1992 and reopened in 1993 as Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, home to our children’s charity on Fulham Road. We will complete the walk in Vincent Square previously a hospital for women and children.

If you have an interest in medicine and history this walk will be filled with fascinating facts and plenty of history.

Our walk finishes in Vincent Square and we will be offering refreshments at the Albert Pub in Victoria Street just a short walk away for those who wish to join us.

Ticket costs are £30 per person, which includes a donation to the St. Nicholas Fund.
